Welcome to Sallie Mae Beef!

My name is Chris Zeman, and I started this site as a result of the injustice being served by Sallie Mae, Inc. My story can be found in the Bad Experiences forum on this site.

I grew up in Lake Villa, IL, and moved to Milwaukee with my girlfriend in the fall of 2002. We moved to Kenosha, WI the following April, and were married on April 2, 2005. We bought our first home in Silver Lake, WI the following October. Our son Chase was born on June 5, 2007.

I have worked for the same company since July of 1993. I have held a few positions with the company, but I now have the job I have wanted all along. As a Controls Technician, I work with some of the most interesting and exciting equipment you\'ll ever see. I love my job, and there would have to be a REAL SWEET DEAL on the table for me to give it up. I am one of the lucky people in this world who actually looks forward to work.

Hi, my name is Crystal. I came across this site while I was doing an HR project for my employer and I couldn\'t help but join. I\'ve been in debt with Sallie Mae since 2000 when I had to take out my first private loan. I\'m in a massive amount of debt from attending a private university for 4 years and eventually transfering to a state school where I still needed private loans for living expenses while I searched for a job. I\'ve seen many, many sites about how awful Sallie Mae handles accounts and I can\'t agree more with every horrible experience I\'ve read about. I guess I\'ll save my stories for the \"Bad Experiences\" section, but I just thought I\'d let you guys know I FEEL YOUR PAIN!
